seller hospitalized
I am an ebay seller, and so is my mother since 1998 - she is currently hospitalized and cannot check into her account. Family is present at the hospital and just awaiting medical status. I am trying to contact anyone at all but of course the ebay seller help is soooooo cheap that you cannot ever find a link to contact anyone at ebay. My mothers account status is very import to here as she has been one little old lady faithfully maintaining top seller status for decades now, and she would not want to ruin her rating by having no items shipped during the duration of this medical setback. I have her account name, can prove that I am her son, and can prove that she is currently incapacitated and under medical care.

Mentor2 years agoIf you have access to her account you can put it on Time Away. She does not need a store to do that. You can select whether to allow sales during Time Away or pause them. If you pause them, you need to renew the Time Away every 30 days. You can also check to have an automatic message response if someone emails her during Time Away. I do wish her the best.

OP2 years agoThanks so much for taking the time to help, I appreciate it. Yea, that's the problem tho in the she is suffering from some hard to diagnose possible allergic reaction, but has also has developed a UTI unfortunately and is not currently responsive. We are hoping once antibiotics have helped with the UTI we will be back to working on the possible allergic reaction and she will be able to communicate better. We have the login but do not have her password. We are hoping to find a number to call to get some assistance from eBay in doing exactly that, setting time away.
Pursuing other avenues to access the seller account, but this seems like the most "honest" route.

Mentor2 years agoMany people write down their passwords and keep them near the computer. If she has a Gmail account, you could try to reset the password but you would need her Gmail login. You could also try going to Google Manage Passwords. Best of luck.
