Seller here - question about payment processing .
I am an occasional seller on eBay. No store ..
Normally when I make a sale , the funds are put on hold til there is confirmation that the item was shipped and delivered. Then funds are released. But this time it says the payment is processing and should be complete by today's date. However it still shows as processing. It's asking me to ship it today but I don't feel comfortable after speaking to uber customer service. I was told it shows as processing in case the buyer changes their mind. ????? Are they serious? In case the buyer changes their mind? So in expected to ship out their item today, however they could change their mind at any time and I'm suppose to contact the shipper to stop the delivery if they do change their mind. If I can't get them to stop the delivery then I am expected to have faith that the buyer will ship the item back in tact . I'm expected to hope they will be honest and ship it back. If not I'm screwed out of my item and the money. Are they serious? I'm not shipping til money is in my account.

The customer service agent gave you incorrect information if they said processing was in case a buyer changed their mind. I am sorry about that.
Funds are always processing for 24-48 hours. It's a bank transfer thing. Then the funds may be on hold depending on your selling history.
Ship the item within your handling time. I ship same and next day. My payments are always processing at shipment.

Mentor9 months agoIf ebay tells you the item is paid for and ok to ship to the address provided, then you are obligated to do just that. Payment holds for new or infrequent sellers can be up to 30 days. Just make sure you either use ebay labels or upload the tracking yourself and also get a signature for anything over a total of $750.
