Seller has refused to honor warranty after sending me 2 faulty phones
I wish to contact eBay to submit a formal complaint against a seller. I did everything the seller asked me to do to troubleshoot 2 faulty phones they sent me. They told me, in writing, they would warranty the second phone for 30 days after the replacement period. They then refused to replace the second phone, claiming the warranty had expired 30 days after the original purchase.
I was told to use an eBay warranty plan. I filed a warranty claim through the eBay plan. The phone number for the repair company I was to use was for a hotel that had never heard of the repair company.
How do I contact eBay to resolve this matter?

·11 months agoWhen did you purchase the phones? Did you purchase the Allstate Warranty through eBay at the time you ordered them, or was the warranty you refer to just something that the seller told you was being offered by them?

OP11 months agoThe AllState was included in the purchase agreement. I submitted a claim to AllState, which provided a number to contact a repair station near me. When I called the number, a clerk from a hotel answered. The repair company didn't exist.
What really bothers me is that the seller agreed to replace the second phone, then when I asked for information to return the phone, they went back on their word. I have a record of the entire conversation starting with my first message about the first phone not working.

The AllState warranty was part of the purchase agreement, along with eBay Assurance program.
