Seller giving me the run around
Summary: mwt41417 purchased a radiator shutter for a Toyota Tundra, which arrived damaged. Despite the damage, they installed it, but later experienced a malfunction. Attempting to resolve the issue with the seller for a warranty refund or replacement has been frustrating, as the seller only offered a partial refund and repeatedly asked for the same information. rfmtm suggested filing for a refund through the payment processor, but mwt41417 encountered difficulties with this approach and sought further advice.
On Aug, 3rd I purchased a radiator shudder for a Toyota Tundra and when it arrived the package looked as if it had been ran over. I immediately notified the seller even left the package unopened until receiving a reply from the seller. After communicating with seller I opened the shudder to find some damage but very little and since this was on my truck and hidden behind the grille I chose to go ahead and install it rather than putting seller and myself through a big ordeal over nothing. Fast forward to last week and my truck started tripping a code for shudder malfunction again and after going through the testing procedures it has been found that the motor inside the automatic shudder is bad. I contacted seller for warranty, sent pictures, described what the issue is at least 100 times now and have email after email with this seller where they're offering me a partial refund to make me "Happy" and go away but what I need is a complete refund or replacement so I can purchase another one as my truck must have this to operate properly. All I get back now is that they have sold a bunch of these without issue and asking for pictures and description over again. It's an endless cycle I feel to keep from doing a warranty return. What should I do??

Mentor3 weeks agoSeller can not close a defective return.
If past the 30 days to file on ebay, the go the website of the payment processor you used to pay for the item. File the dispute there and follow the instruction carefully and do not close or let it expire without going back for help.

Mentor3 weeks agoIt is past the time ebay can help you, but you should still be able to file for a defective item refund through the payment processor. Do that now.
