Seller Ghosted
Hi. I purchased an item from a seller who was pretty reputable. I bought from them
many times. However more recently I am having more and more issues getting items that are no where near the condition on the listing. This one particular order was a “brand new†space heater they sold. I purchased it in mind for a friend living in a cabin with her kids. I wanted to contribute to them staying warm. Well the space heater arrived. It wasn’t new, seal to box was ripped open, there was a strong char smell, dusty, scratched up, knobs turned on, and icing on the cake was the melted plug with that bubble effect from getting to hot and a char smell. This is extremely dangerous. Contacted the seller and had to go back and forth a few and really didn’t care what they did and my inconvenience. They refunded the item and refused to take it back. Over and over I explained and they didn’t get it. In my area these things cannot be thrown in regular trash. They are regulated and to dispose of them we need to buy a $15 sticker and drop it off or leave outside for pickup the next time the town comes around for white goods. Now I’ve not only paid for the item but I get to dispose of its costing me more than what the original sale was as they ghosted and don’t care. The seller more than likely didn’t know is I was in a bad
accodent and caused mobility disabilities. It’s not the easiest for me to run around all over to get what I want and thus why I shop online a lot. Not sure what else I can do. Appreciate any suggestions.
