Seller for over 27 years, always been Above Standard, changed to Below Standard can I appeal this?
Summary: kycollectibles00 shared their frustration about being demoted from Above Standard to Below Standard without warning, citing 5 out-of-stock items which they believed were damaged, not out of stock. They sought advice on how to appeal this status and contact customer service. disneyshopper recounted a similar experience and advised ensuring packages are always scanned to avoid such issues. comics-scifi-collectibles explained that cancellations result in defects impacting seller ratings and suggested proactive measures to improve the standing, like focusing on sales events and low-cost items.
Seller for over 27 years, always been Above Standard, did not get demoted to Standard or any warning of anything just straight to Below Standard. My account said I had 5 out of stock items in the past year. I don't believe some were out of stock but damaged so I did cancel order, no one would want a broken Christmas Ornament! Anyone else have this happen? Is there any way to change it?
Does anyone have a phone number to get hold of an actual human being at this place?
Thanks!

Mentor1 week ago@kycollectibles00 When you cancel as out of stock/ damaged you receive a DEFECT. Defects seriously hurt your account.
It is important to keep an eye on your Seller Dashboard so you are aware of your seller rating changing. https://sellerstandards.ebay.com/dashboard?region=US
The only thing you can do now is to try and sell your way out of below standard with sale events or by obtaining low cost items to sell as a loss leader.

How you are evaluated depends on your sales volume>

Mentor1 week agoYears ago I went from top rated to below standard when I refunded 3 orders for no shipping scans. Now I always stand in line to have my packages scanned instead of leaving them on the counter. How many orders did you cancel?
