Seller Evaluation
The purchaser paid for the item then requested that I delay the shipment for a week. Now I am getting a “did not ship on time” negative on my seller evaluation. How do I handle that?

There is nothing you can do after the fact.
If you do not ship within your handling time you will get dinged for a late shipment. Even if the buyer requests it. If this should happen again you can message the buyer and let them know eBay requires you to ship within your handling time and you are unable to delay shipping. Ask if they want you to cancel the sale.
You can cancel the sale as buyer requested. If you want to hold the item for them and list it again, when they can have it shipped, so they can repurchase you can offer to do that. If you do not want to hold it and want to list right away that is your choice.

There is nothing you can do once it has already happened.
eBay will tell you that you have a "cushion" so one or two bad marks will not hurt you.
If you don't want to get them occasionally, you need to tell the buyer that you will not delay shipping.
I always suggest that the customer have the package held at the carrier or have a friend or neighbor pick it up. The other option is to refund them and have them buy it when they can get receive the package.
In my opinion, this is a buyer issue and they need to find a solution and I am required to ship on time.
