Seller doesn't accept returns but item is defective
Purchased an alternator. No warrantee and seller does not accept returns. Alternator defective - quit working after very limited use. How do I get the eBay guarantee refund?

For 30 days from confirmed delivery to you the transaction is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Defective part return claims through eBay will bypass a Seller's No returns accepted setting and you would be issued a pre-paid shipping label to return the item. Was it sold under the Guaranteed fit program?
Outside of that 30 window you may be forced to pursue a dispute via the payment method you used, PayPal, credit card, etc.

OP1 year agoThank you for the response. It's been over 30 days and no, it wasn't part of a guaranteed fit program. So I guess it's on me for not ensuring it had a warranty. Sigh.

Unless a Seller is a certified Dealer or Distributor with the ability to support a factory warranty then there is no warranty when buying on eBay even if a Seller states that they warranty their items.
You may have to pursue a refund via your payment method, PayPal, credit card, etc.
