Seller does not honor warranty
I purchased a Dyson from a seller that clearly states the batter has a 5 year warranty. One year later the batter does not hold a charge. I've messaged the seller twice and he does not respond. Do I have any recourse?

Unless the item purchased is brand new, never owned … as in from a dealer licensed to sell the product … it should be assumed there are no warranties on eBay products.
Almost all items sold on eBay have no warranty. Only items sold by factory dealers are covered. Items sold by others are second hand sales and are often not covered even if the item was never used. The buyer would have had to purchase a third party warranty.
Just on chance, have you tried contacting Dyson? But beware that they probably will not honor the warranty since the item was sold on Ebay.

The seller can put whatever they want in the picture, it does not mean the seller has to honor the "warranty".
As previously stated, sellers cannot issue any kind of warranty unless they are the dealer for the company that manufactures the item.
When you purchased the item, the seller was supposed to give you details of the warranty if it was legitimate.
I avoid listings with pictures that state "US stock" and display the American flag. 99% percent of the time the seller is located in China.
