Seller Does Not Have Item for Agreed Pick up

Question

If I choose Buy Now on an item whereby I and the seller agree I can pickup that item, what protects me if the seller doesn't show with the item, but the payment has been made using my credit card, how do I get my money back?

Normally we advise Buyers and sellers to agree to cancel the original transaction. The Seller can then Relist it with the Local Pick-up option. Buyers pay and then get 2 items for the Pick-up ... A QR code and a 6-digit code. EITHER of those items can be give to the Seller at pick up. I prefer the 6-digit code beacuase I do not use my phone for eBay business.

The Seller can then confrim to eBay that the pick-up was compelted.

You are still covered by the ebay Money Back Guarantee.

Seller still has to prove pickup or delivery or you get your money back through eBay's MBG. Buying with local pickup | eBay
