Seller didn’t include remote control with Sony system
I bought a small Sony Blu-Ray Home Theater system, but the Seller didn’t include the remote control—which he DID indicate was included—without which the system is useless to me.
Interestingly, I am now unable to contact the Seller, the eBay A.I. is useless, AND multiple attempts over 2-1/2 hours to speak with a human agent at eBay have ALSO failed.
There are several things I could do on my own (buy another remote [to see whether the pieces I have actually work], trash the seller in a review [not my style, really]), but I would rather SPEAK with someone first.
WTH is going on? Am I just asking the wrong questions, or pushing the wrong buttons, or what? I genuinely want effective guidance here.

eBay has a Money Back Guarantee for Buyer Purchase Protection. If you received an item 30 days or less ago and it is not as shown in the listing, you would need to open an Item Not as Described refund request on eBay.
The Seller is required to respond within three business days with either a prepaid return label or a refund. If they do not, on the 4th day go back to your request and ask eBay to step in and force the refund. The Seller may offer a partial refund to make up for the missing remote. It is up to you if that is an acceptable solution.
But you would need to open that refund request on eBay to start the refund process. Don't let the Seller convince you to close the request because they "promise" to send you the remote. Once you close your request, you cannot reopen it.
