seller did not provide a return shipping label

Question

Seller misrepresented an item. Originally posted does not accept returns. Contacted seller because the item that was listed as "NEW" was marred from prior use. I got a refund, but seller did NOT sent a return shipping label. Since I got the original refund I felt the need to ship the item back, BUT it cost me return shipping funds. Why should it cost me funds to return, for Ebay policy states seller is responsible for misrepresented item. Ebay listed case as closed since I got my refund, BUT I did not get return shipping. Since case was closed I can't file an appeal and can NOT find a way to speak to an Ebay agent about this. Anyone with any suggestions, phone numbers for Ebay, etc.

You are not obligated to return a "not as described" item at your own expense, but eBay cannot force the seller to reimburse you for additional shipping beyond what you originally paid at the time of purchase.

Typically if the seller wants the item back the seller provides a prepaid label and waits until the item has been received before reimbursing. The seller may reimburse up front if the seller does not want the item returned or is not willing to pay for return shipping.

@u-wish-2 Once a Buyer has been refunded, eBay considers the case closed. The option now is for the Seller to purchase a discounted return label on PayPal or Pirateship to send to you.
