This is a red flag. Since the seller refused a proper PayPal payment for an auction item, we agreed I would pick the car up in person and pay cash. The seller agreed to this. He then tells me he want payment by PayPal â€œfriends and familyâ€ so the seller can avoid PayPal fees. This is unacceptable to me because it would leave me no recourse if the seller didnâ€™t deliver. I would be out over $7000. At this point the seller reported me as a non paying bidder.
