Seller Deceased

Question

How can I let Ebay know that my cousin, a prolific Seller, passed away a few weeks ago? She still has items listed and is now getting negative feedback for no response, item not shipped, etc. TIA.

eBay will eventually lock the account for non-performance.

You can let eBay know here:

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Contact us" button. When chat opens, type "deceased" to read the instructions. eBay will want a copy of the death certificate.

"To close the account of a deceased relative, you'll need to contact us for assistance. You will also need to upload a copy of their death certificate here or through a link we'll email to you.

"From the document upload form, select Legal information under the Document type menu, then choose Add file to upload a copy of the death certificate.

"We'll review the details within 3 calendar days and close the account within 30 calendar days, or within 60 calendar days if there has been any activity on the account in the past 14 calendar days."
