Why are sellers allowed to seemingly scam buyers - but buyers have to wait up to a month for resolution, but buyers can receive strikes if they don't pay for items in due time??

Mentor2 years agoThe tracking number is created when the label is printed. This happens before the item is shipped, typically.
The fact that the seller has printed the label has no effect on the buyer's ability to file an "item not received" claim the day after the last estimated delivery date shown in the buyer's purchase history.
Buyers have up to four full days to pay. Sellers have until the end of the seller's chosen handling time to gain an acceptance scan before eBay considers a shipment "late". If the buyer files an "item not received" case, the seller has three business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, otherwise the buyer can ask eBay to step in and force a refund.
Not every seller uses eBay labels, even if a label is printed; not every package gets a timely acceptance scan; not every scanned package gets a tracking update on eBay.
