Mail from sellers zip code take 1 day for me to receive packages from so it has been 5 days. Today is the last day to return item. No mistake by USPS web site.

I have asked for a refund to day since it is the last day.

I'm unclear on what you are trying to do. If you haven't received the item you ordered yet, why do you want to return it? You should not open a return unless you have the item in hand and intend to return it. You only have a limited number of days to get it in the mail to the seller once you do.

Perhaps you are confused about when to open a case or why. Buyers have 30 days from delivery date to open a return - not 30 days from the purchase date.

If you haven't received your item, this is what to do...

When it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
