Seller closed return request

Question

Hi!

I purchased an item & requested to return it. The seller closed the request.

I presume that means that they will not accept return.

Neither eBay's support article nor its chatbot seem to cover this possibility.

Is this the case? That I'm stuck with the item?

IF the item was as described and seller doesn't accept returns then seller gets to choose whether to allow the return. In the future look to top rated sellers that have free returns to avoid this problem.

No reason not to resell it here on ebay, maybe even at a profit.
