Seller claims the EBay site won't create a label, so they want me to cancel the order
I bought plushie at a listed price (which at $19 was a bit lower than others for the same item). I asked some questions about tariffs between US & Canada, and they assured me all was well, shipping was free, no additional fees. Today they said "due to an issue with the eBay system, the shipping label is not being generated" and asked me to cancel the order to get a refund. Unless they're not really in Canada, I'm guessing they realized their item could have been priced higher, or the shipping is more expensive than they thought it would be, so they want to bail on me. I've never had the EBay system refuse to create a shipping label. Has anyone else had this happen? I don't know that this is fraud, but it does seem a little fishy! They do now have my mailing address, but that's not terribly secret. What should I do? If they won't send it, I can't make them....at least they're offering a refund. But I want the item! Thanks.

Mentor4 months agoThe only time I have had problems with an International shipping label was if the buyer's address was longer than 40 characters. Since 3 lines are available for the address, I was able to move some of the address to the next line, and the address was then accepted. Not sure if that will help or not.
Even though shipping is free (to Canada?), you are still responsible for any tariffs your country may charge you to import that item.
