Seller claims return label was sent, but I never received it — how can I escalate?
Summary: zinniafashion is seeking advice on how to escalate a return issue with an Adidas item purchased on eBay. Despite being told by eBay that a return label was sent, the label has not been received, and attempts to contact the seller have been unsuccessful. The participant has tried various methods to resolve the issue, including attempting to escalate through eBay, but the escalation option is unavailable. With a deadline approaching, they are asking for guidance from the community on how to obtain the return label and protect their return eligibility.
Hello,
I initiated a return on September 21 for an Adidas item purchased from the seller adidas_official.
On September 23, eBay notified me that the seller had sent a return shipping label. However, I never received the label, and there is no option to download or print one in my return details.
I have contacted the seller multiple times, including requesting that the label be resent to alternative email addresses, but have not received a satisfactory response.
My return shipping deadline is October 7.
I have already tried the following:
Checked my return details, which only show "Mark as shipped" and "Contact seller."
Visited "My Requests" and selected "Take action," which redirects me to the same return details page.
Followed the "Ask eBay to step in and help" instructions, but the escalation option does not appear.
My questions are:
Why isn't the "Ask eBay to step in" option available when more than three business days have passed?
Is there another way to obtain the seller-provided return label?
How can I protect my return eligibility if the seller doesn't provide the label before October 7?
I would appreciate any guidance from experienced eBay community members.
Thank you!
