seller claimed it had a manufacturer warranty, it was a review sample 4 months after purchase, ghosted by seller that has 100% feedback
Summary: belowa-40 purchased a motherboard after being assured by the seller that it had a factory warranty. Four months later, the motherboard failed, and the manufacturer revealed it was a review sample with no warranty. Despite having correspondence from the seller confirming the warranty, the seller is unresponsive to requests for partial compensation. Given the time elapsed, belowa-40 is concerned they may not recover the $377 spent on eBay.
purchased a motherboard but before i did i asked the seller if it had a factory warranty, he claimed it did... four months later it died.. asrock, the company has stated it was a review sample and has no warranty. i have numerous correspondence to back up this claim, including the seller stating not to worry. i let the buyer know and asked for less than half of what i purchased it for and am not getting answer and since it was purchased late April i doubt ebay can do anything. am I out of $377?

You may already know that normally you are protected for 30 days from receipt to take advantage of the eBay Money Back Guarantee: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy
Sorry you ran into a dishonest eBay Seller but at this point there is nothing that can be done through eBay. You will have to file a dispute with your funding source in order to try and get your money back.
