Seller claimed I cancelled a winning bid but I did NOT
I won an auction item and went to pay for it the next morning. There was a message that "buyer requested the order be cancelled" but I did no such thing. I suspect it was because I won the item a a lower bid than the seller was hoping for, because it sure didn't take long for him to cancel it! I wrote and asked what was up, but I doubt I will get the item. If he does not agree to sell it to me, how do I launch a protest to Ebay? (Please don't say "wait until he responds." I will wait, but want my ducks in a row ready to act if he doesn't want to rectify the situation. It was for a Christmas gift and if I can't get it resolved I need to buy another ASAP. ) Thanks in advance for your help.

OP2 years agoWell I got a response from the seller. "U are now blocked from bidding on my auctions…have a wonderful merry Xmas."

Mentor2 years agoNot surprised, but not a seller I'd want to deal with anyway. Report him and let ebay put a strike on his account and charge a penalty for cancelling on you. Enough of those and he'll be restricted or eventually suspended.

2. On the next page, enter the seller's ID and select Other.
3. In the comment section, write "In order to avoid a defect, seller cancelled order stating that I requested the cancellation ."
