Seller charged full shipping when auction was buyer pays shipping.

Question

Buyer chose “ground advantage”, but I did not know this. I was following eBay’s shipping instructions and those instructions offered ground, priority, 2 day and UPS. I chose priority and added insurance coverage over the $100. Total for the label was $29.59. I was charged this full amount before funds are to be paid out to me. Shouldn’t I only be charged the difference between ground advantage and Priority?

That sounds frustrating.

When "the Buyer pays for shipping", that money is given to you/the seller.

- Then you pay for the shipping label.

- The amount the buyer pays for shipping could be more or less than the actual final shipping cost, it is based on the settings chosen in your listing when you created it.

- The amount you pay for shipping is based on the actual final shipping details you enter before you click to print a label.

You will get the buyer's ground advantage shipping money when you get your payout.

So, yes, you are only net out the difference between priority and ground, but it's normal that you pay the full shipping, then the buyer paid shipping comes to you.
