Seller charged additional shipping cost
I listed an item that specified the buyer to pay shipping costs. The item was sold and Ebay calculated the shipping cost. I purchased a shipping label through Ebay and sent the package. I received a message from Ebay saying that the shipping was undercharged and they deducted the additional charge from my account.
Why is the buyer charged for and responsible for the added shipping cost?

eBay calculated the shipping based on the weight and dimensions you provided in your listing. The carrier is disagreeing with your data. The buyer has no responsibility other than to pay the calculated amount.
