Seller cancelled purchase 2 months ago, refunds issued but I just got delivery notices???
Hi, long time eBayer here, buying and selling. Never seen this before. In December I bought two puzzles from a new, low-feedback Seller (name: cry402025) via Buy It Now.

Shipping labels and tracking were created right away. After 5 days with no change or notification of dropping items off I sent them a message asking when they intended to drop them off and they then cancelled the orders the same day and initiated refunds.
The refunds went through and it seemed like case closed.
This past week (mid-March) I got a shipping notification from ebay for one of the cancelled items I wasn't going to click on any of the links i the email as the circumstances just seemed very sketchy and I opted to wait and see how it played out. Then got subsequent updates of the "out for delivery" and finally "delivered", though nothing was delivered at all (people were home at that moment and checked immediately). All notices looked legit and all embedded links looked to be good when I checked out the URLs. Very bizarre,
So, I'm not out anything but the time originally spent on this but is this an aspect of a new scam somehow? Is it an aspect of building credentials for a future scam account? I'd love to send the emails to ebay but haven't found any way to do that.

OP5 months agoThat's the weird thing, there are no ebay messages regarding these on the platform apart from the original ones from January. These ones from the last week all came through my email only yet appear to be legit looking at all the addresses and embedded emails.

Mentor5 months agoYou can go to the message, open it up, click the 3 dots in upper right corner and click on REPORT MESSAGE.
