Seller cancelled order unfairly
Hi, I won an auction and saw the product wasn’t shipped for quite some time. Suddenly the seller cancelled the order claiming the item was damaged. I had messaged the seller before buying while still bidding and he mentioned the product was in good condition. My suspicion is that he canceled and claimed it was broken because he was unsatisfied with the final price. Is there anything I can do to claim my product?

Mentor2 years agoebay cannot force a buyer to pay, nor can ebay force a seller to ship. The best that is going to happen is a full refund. Make sure the seller selects that the reason for the cancellation is due to Out of Stock or Damaged. That will record a defect on the seller's account. Too many defects and the seller can be restricted or suspended.

Mentor2 years agoNo, unfortunately there is nothing to you do to claim your product. The seller used the only cancellation option open to him and earned a defect on his seller record. Too many of those and he won't be selling for long.
