Seller Cancelled Order - too long for refund?
So, the seller cancelled and order I placed for an item because he wanted to relist it at a higher price (which he did). Seller lied to eBay by saying buyer asked to cancel, which I did not. I reported the seller and eBay seems may have taken care of that?? His re-listing has been closed. I have been waiting till after 10 days to report item not received so I may get a refund for the item the seller cancelled and re-listed. Now, eBay is telling me I have to wait several days more for the seller to respond and, if he doesn’t, I can ‘ask eBay to step in and help’. This is a long process, and a lot of effort, for a buyer to go through to get a refund for an item due to no fault of the buyer, especially when the records show the seller clearly cancelled and did not ship. I feel as though I am still, very much, at the mercy of a dishonest seller to get my money back! Funny thing is, I’ve been on eBay more than 20 years and can’t remember having a purchase cancelled before. Now, I’ve had two in the last month. What gives?
