·2 years ago@mailman2700 It may just be a processing delay. A seller cannot cancel without refunding (unless you paid by cash or check). EBay sends you a full refund automatically as part of the cancellation process. Check the cancellation message you received from eBay in My eBay > Messages.

OP2 years agoI paid with my credit card and it was taken immediately out. I’ve sent them multiple messages with no response back. The seller cancelled the sale and is now saying they can’t cancel it. Sounds like they are saying I requested the cancellation but they said out of stock or damaged. Will eBay refund my card ?
thanks for any info.

·2 years ago@mailman2700 Yes, eBay will refund your credit card. There's no need to contact the seller any further.
Does the cancellation message say buyer requested, or does it say out of stock/damaged? You can report the seller if they avoided a penalty by falsely claiming you asked to cancel. (Go to Purchase History > Report seller.) You can also still leave feedback even though the sale was cancelled.
EBay penalizes sellers for not meeting performance standards by cancelling for out of stock or damaged.
