Seller canceling bids (over 70) on one listing without reason or explanation
A seller listed an item and has received over 100 bids on the item, yet the seller has canceled over 70 of the bids with no explanation or reason. Why would a seller do thid?

Mentor3 years agoHow do you know that the seller cancelled the bids? Could it be that buyers retracted their bids?

·3 years agoThe seller gave reasons for each cancellation (or eBay did and the reason is "Administrative cancellation" due to problems with the bidder's account) but only the seller and the particular bidder can see the reason (as well as the actual username of the bidder).
With that many bids it is likely that there are a lot of scammers and/or "sport bidders" bidding without intention of a legitimate purchase, so the seller is scrutinizing the bidders and cancelling the ones that don't seem kosher.
