Seller canceled payment to Tracfone - my phone is now inactive
Seller was paid for TracFone cards thru PayPal, Seller set it up on my phone and then a day later canceled payment to Tracfone - my phone is now inactive due to this. Tracfone will not activate my phone till the seller take care of reversing the credit complaint & pay for the services. I need assistance in this matter, seller will not respond to emails.

Mentor3 years agoYou appear to have put yourself into a situation where you are relying on an untrustworthy third party to take action in order to get your phone service restored. This is not a good position for you to be in.
You likely would have been better off paying Tracfone yourself directly. You may still have to do this to get your phone activated and working again, and then go after your seller for a refund for the (now) invalid phone cards. Does a link to the eBay money back guarantee appear in the original phone card listing?
Either the seller has canceled a payment to Tracfone, or else the seller used someone else's credit card to pay Tracfone, and now the actual cardholder has filed a complaint. In either case, you should consider that the seller is not going to cooperate.

Mentor3 years agoIn that case you should be able to file a "not as described" return. The seller should provide a prepaid return label or pay for return shipping. Return the cards, and when tracking shows the cards have been returned to the seller, the seller should refund you. If the seller does not cooperate, after three business days, ask eBay to step in and refund you.

OP3 years agoI followed your info and no links for Ebay to "step-in" The money back guarantee is pictured on the post, but Ebay does not give links due to seller does not accept returns. I was cheated out of $85 due to the seller paying for phone card then canceling payment the next day. Now unless I pay TracFone $130+ they will not reactive the phone. It has been 4 day and total silence from both Ebay & seller.

Mentor3 years agoDid you file a "not as described" case with eBay? The seller's return policy does not matter except in "remorse" cases.
If you filed a "not as described" case and the seller does not cooperate, you should be able to ask eBay to step in after three business days.
