Mentor6 months agoDo you mean the buyer wants to send you a prepaid UPS, Fedex...etc label? If so then that is a big no. Do NOT do that
If you mean you have an item with free shipping or you sold an item with lets say Ground Advantage and the buyer wants to pay extra shipping to upgrade it to lets say Priority then yeah that is okay.

I can prepare a label and email it to you but I would need shipping information, size of package weight, etc

If they have already paid I would cancel as problem with buyers address.

What exactly is the buyer asking?
Do NOT allow a buyer to use their own shipping method. You need to control the shipping method and tracking so that you have seller protection for tracking proof of delivery. ONLY ship to the address provided at checkout.

OP6 months agoYeah, looking at it again. having buyer pay for shipping is not good for shipping control. If Ebay doesnt support then i will opted out of doing

Mentor6 months agoBuyer pays for shipping ON the listing is the correct way to handle shipping and be EBAY compliant.
If a buyer is ASKING you in a message to use THEIR UPS ACCOUNT instead of you using the buyers money to pay for a shipping label that is what you don't want to do.
That is why I asked..... WHAT exactly did the buyer ask you?

Mentor6 months agoIf you mean that the buyer wants to send you a label to ship with this is not something you want to do. Unless you actually ship the item with your shipping label you will have no seller protection from eBay. Many times buyers who want to do this are scammers or are using an employers shipping account which can be a problem if the employer finds out and reports the label as fraud and not authorized.
