Seller asks me to cancel

I purchased a iPhone and the iPhone is damaged. I contact the seller and he told me that heâ€™ll accept the return. As he said, he would accept the return. He never sent the label. Now he asking me to cancel and then heâ€™ll send a new label. I know that if you cancel an order, they will close it out and you cannot send the item back?

Ask Ebay to step in to help you:

Find the item in your Purchases.
Select See return details
Select Ask eBay to step in and help.
Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm.
