seller asking for positive feedback then only refund
Hi,
I am currently trying to refund an lawn trimmer that i purchased 2 weeks back.
The seller was not ready to refund me even after acknowledging it was his mistake that he sent a wrong item.
It was only when i gave a negative feedback he sent a return label.
after i dispatched the return, this seller is saying he can only give return only if i change the feedback to positive and that it is his company policy to change the feedback first and then only return it. I feel totally deceived now that first it was hard to get the return label and now it seems the seller does not have right intentions to refund my money. Let me know if there are such rules on ebay that we have to give positive feedback only then we get refund?

Mentor3 years agoNo, and feedback extortion is a policy violation:

Did you open a return through eBay? If not, follow these instructions:
If you received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
