Seller asking for my address
Is this normal? They shared an image of my address and it looks like eBay blocked out part of that info but why would eBay do that? This doesn't make sense and feels weird. Are they going to ask for name and phone number too? I don't feel like I should have to be doing this.

You shouldn't have to be doing this. The seller has the ship-to address.
Advise the seller to ship to the address shown on the transaction in his sold order list.

OP3 weeks agoThe thing is that this was a pre-order item, ordered several months ago, and now that it's in stock my information appears to be censored, maybe due to a time limit that eBay has set. I'd expect eBay not to do this unless the package has actually been sent, which is what I find weird. But i'm concerned about seller asking for more private info, even my name, which if sent in a message can't be deleted...

This was a presale item? Sellers are required to ship presale orders within 40 business days of purchase.

After 90 days, eBay removes the buyer's name and address from the order details. The only way you can get this item now would be to give the information to the seller. Since he is asking for it, he likely is planning to ship it.
Understand that you have likely lost your buyer protection from eBay because of this delay. You have only 30 days from the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History to open an item not received case. If you don't get the item, at this point you can contact your credit card company to see if you can file a chargeback to get your money back.

OP3 weeks ago · EditedVery informative. Thank you so much for your quick response. I just tried sending address via the chat but eBay is not letting me send as a privacy precaution. I've just told the seller this but seems like eBay's policies on purchasing presale items is a bit problematic here and I might lose my money because of it...

It appears the ability to provide address information through messaging has also expired, so yes this is problematic.
I think at this point you may need to contact customer service to ask if there is a way to handle this. At the link below, use the contact option at the bottom of the Help article and in the chat box, type Agent. You may have to do this several times to get a callback option. You definitely want to speak with an agent rather than try to do this through chatting.
