Seller asking for enhanced packaging to return damaged item
Hi,
I received an item late and damaged (wooden box in pieces). I'm returning it of course - was about to send in original packaging but the seller has now asked I bubble wrap the item. It wasn't sent to me with bubble wrap and bubble wrap won't fit in the original packaging which means buying new packaging and bubble wrap. It feels unreasonable to me to expect me to do this in the circumstances but if it gets damaged further in transit I now expect the buyer to reduce the refund. Does anyone know the guidelines for a situation like this?

Mentor2 years agoYou are only required to returned as received, but if the original box is severely damaged and seller wants special packaging beyond just a similar box, then he'll have to provide it or pay for it in advance.
