The seller is attempting to trick you into asking for a cancellation to avoid earning a defect for not completing the sale. I would reply...
As you know, the reason for the cancellation is NOT because I'm requesting it but because you are out of stock. You must choose the out of stock option when you cancel the order. If you choose an invalid reason, I will report it to eBay Thank you.
