Seller agreed to refund under warranty, eBay option not available
Bought a Christmas gift (iPod Classic) that had a 1 year warranty. Item ceased working less than 2 months later (outside eBay’s 30 days return period/window). Contacted the seller, provided photos and description of issues (hoping there was a way to fix it) and they agreed to issue a full refund but the ‘Refund’ and ‘Return’ options were no longer available on the purchase in ‘My eBay’. Seller said they would contact eBay to get the Return/Refund option turned on but never did.
I have screenshots of the messages (sent via eBay) to prove the seller agreed to a full refund. I did but the item with my PayPal account and am considering putting in a claim through PayPal but I suspect that the seller CAN process the refund through eBay, they’re just dragging their feet/don’t want to

Mentor4 months agoAfter 30 days from receipt eBay will no longer get involved or help as your money back guaranty protection has expired. Sellers can still make a refund for up to 90 days from purchase if they want to but eBay cannot force a seller to do this. Since more than 30 days have passed you will not find a way to request eBay's help. After 90 days the seller would have to make all arrangements outside of eBay.
