Seller afraid to ship antique radio from UK to United States
OK here’s the deal. I bought an antique radio receiver off a UK seller on eBay. The seller has heard online that they currently seize radios, and they don’t allow them to be shipped to the United States. It’s pure insanity. Why show me something I can’t Owner buy or be shipped in if you’re just going to take it away. The eBay representative I spoke on the phone gave me a useless phone number to call Pitney Bowes their shipper. And I’d like a straight answer but apparently the automated system just takes you and loops of idiot questions and idiot answers, and never gives you a person who has the knowledge to give you a real answer. I have been an eBay user for over 20 years and this is something new to me having items that you can’t have shipped into you.

·2 years agoI can't think of any obvious reasons radios would be seized on a regular basis. However, if the radio contained components like ivory or mother of pearl, which can not be exported or imported, that could be the source of the problem. Or perhaps radioluminescent dials that emit traces of radiation can trigger transport issues.
