Seems like "bait and switch"
Yesterday a seller listed item as Buy it Now for $189.00 or best offer. I made a good faith offered of $150 and the seller declined with no counter offer then raised the price to $499. Isn't his is "bait and switch"? Seems to me that the seller was fishing for a potential buyer at the lower price (baiting) but never had any intention of accepting even the BiN of $189.00. This does not seem ethical.
I also notice that there is no evidence of my having made any offer on my "My eBay" page but I do have emails from eBay that confirm the bid. I also have a photo of the original listing at $189.00. The current listing shows $499.00.

Mentor3 years agoNo. Bait and switch is advertising a specific item, and when you make the purchase, a different item is shipped to you.

·3 years agoNo that is not bait and switch it is a seller who felt his item was worth more than he thought.
