Seeking Guidance After Lost Shipments...Frustration with Shipping Accountability
i have been frustrated and upset for some time because i’ve had two shipments go missing before reaching my customers. i printed my shipping labels through eBay and used FedEx Ground Advantage, which provides both FedEx and USPS tracking numbers. Despite having two tracking numbers, none of the major parties involved—eBay, USPS, or FedEx—will accept responsibility for what happened. As a result, i have lost my products, paid FedEx shipping fees, and had to issue refunds to my customers.
eBay customer service representatives informed me that i can only relay this information to them, and that they will forward it up the chain of command, but offered no direct solution. Meanwhile, USPS and FedEx each insist that the responsibility does not lie with them.
i am at a loss for how to move forward under these circumstances. What should i do next?

Mentor1 year agoThis is thee problem with using that service. Both shippers will deny responsibility. eBay just sold you the label, they did not actually ship the item so they can only be a middleman passing messages.
One important question - Did you drop the package off at a FedEx location or at the USPS? This service must be started at a FedEx location and not at the USPS.

OP11 months agoThank You jacbarcollectibles for Your response...i used to drive to the local Fedex pickup location but found the drive to be too costly so it made sense to have my local USPS carrier pick it up at my location...but now i will be back to spending more money driving again to Fedex for drop off's...Thanks again for responding...zionsremnant
