Searching through active listings based on description not working

Question

I am working on the organization of my listed items, I go to the listing I have created and see the location I have written in the description beng "A-1-F" for example. I type this exact phrase into the active listings page search and select the option to search based on description. The items don't show up, I copy the text directly from the description and search by description and yet it still does not appear when searched. WHY?

also other items that do not have that phrase written anywhere on the listing page will come up, WHY?

You should be able to search within item descriptions in Seller Hub, though the default search is title-only; are you using the drop-down to select a search within the description?

I do not have any active listings I can test to verify if the search works or not, unfortunately.

If you are having problems searching within the item description in your active listings of Seller Hub, you may want to try a search like this instead as a workaround:
