searching on ebay only shows two items
Doing any kind of search on ebay suddenly only produces TWO items on the display. I have not changed any settings, cannot figure this out.

OP2 years agoI just turned off the adblocker on google - that seems to have fixed it. Thank you so much for suggestions and help!!

In the past there have been issues with some specific filters blocking promoted listings, and in one case, blocking some organic (non-promoted) listings as well. If you do not have any custom filters you added yourself that you can undo, but just the usual subscription and defaults, it might be worth trying a few things.
The specific problematic filters were the "Anti-circumvention" filters in Ad Block, or the ABP filters in Ad Block Plus. Not sure if there were others in other ad blockers, but it is certainly possible. Disabling just those particular filters might still allow you to search eBay, see results, and still block most ads, if the problem now is anything like the previous issues.
The "Anti-circumvention" filters are supposed to block ads that try to disguise the fact that they are ads. Some ad blockers have filters that can block promoted listings from appearing in search results, and from time to time eBay seems to try to change how promoted listings work to make them harder to block. Unfortunately, eBay may have wound up making legitimate search results look like ads, or else the filter makers have made some overly aggressive filters that can block legitimate results.
I use several different ad blockers to take advantage of some custom ad blocking rules. I have turned off the anti-circumvention options and I seem to be able to search eBay with no problems that I notice, so it should definitely be possible to search eBay and block ads at the same time.

OP2 years agoI get about 3 million results but only two are displayed - I have tried using both a saved search and a new one.
I also tried searching using Firefox and that worked, showed plenty of results, however i use google chrome and would like to continue it....but that must be the problem.

Mentor2 years agoHow are you searching? Make sure you are not searching from a bookmark or a saved search that has some previously set filters or limits in the page address. Try starting a completely new search from the main eBay page.
How many results do you see here?

I see about 3 million results that ship to a US location. Make sure you are using the correct location to calculate your shipping estimates
Try another browser to rule out a browser issue. Preferably the latest version of a popular browser with default settings and no add-ons installed.
