searching for parts
when I am searching for Honda Valkyrie parts, there are a lot of items displayed with the caption (fits: Honda Valkyrie) at the end of the description... Yet these parts do NOT fit this bike!
Bleedin' annoying having to scroll though this non-sense.
I am aware that if you type in the search box the items you are looking for then add the caption with a minus in front of it... -(fits: Honda Valkyrie). the search will block those items.
But why should we...

That means that either the seller is wrongly including that information in the listing, or the database of what parts fit what bikes is wrong. eBay's search can only work with the data it is supplied with, and if you do not narrow your search further, eBay's search will try to supply as many possible results as it can.
You may be able to limit your results to just items with honda valkyrie in the title or item-specifics by putting your search terms in quotes like this:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/6028/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=%22honda+valkyrie%22&LH_TitleDesc=0
That may miss some items that are for that bike if the two terms are not in that specific order with no other words in between, though.
You may need to try a few different search techniques to consistently find just the results you want and avoid the results you do not want.
