Search results don't match selected criteria

Question

Lately Ebay search results don't match the advanced-search criteria I use. Just now my search for women's blue workforce shoes netted more fuzzy slippers, duck shoes and rain boots than anything resembling what I'd wear to work. Whatever algorithm Ebay uses to help customers refine searches is definitely not catching sellers who salt their products everywhere, regardless of category.

How are you searching? Perhaps you are choosing keywords that sellers are not using in their listings, and eBay is widening the search to show you some results.

The only "workforce" shoes I see using that specific keyword are Carhartt sneakers, which do not sound like what you are looking for.

"Work shoes" mean different things to different people with different jobs. Are you looking for Heels, Flats, Boots or Comfort shoes?

Try starting here, then narrowing the category to one of those four:

Start with keywords you are relatively certain appear in the listings you are interested in and search. Then select the category you want in order to eliminate anything listed elsewhere. Finally, choose appropriate filters for size and style, or set a price range to narrow things further.
