Search results
I am selling a GMC K5 Jimmy, which is the same vehicle as a Chevrolet K5 Blazer. I would like it to show up in search results when people search K5 Blazer. I put the phrase "Same as K5 Blazer" in the sub-title and the description, but it still does not show up in search results for K5 Blazer. I am missing probably 75% of customers that would be interested in this vehicle because of this since the Blazer was produced more. How can I change this?

Mentor2 years agoSubtitles are not searchable.
Put your keywords in the title or item-specifics if you want users to be able to search and find your listing using those keywords.

OP2 years agoCannot change the title, as it is the vehicle's make and model and you can't add additional text. I have the phrase "Same as K5 Blazer" in the subtitle, short description, and full description. It seems that when searching for a vehicle in Ebay Motors, they only use the title (Year, Make, Model) for searches.

Mentor2 years agoSee if you can add the Blazer to your item-specifics. Title and item-specifics are searchable; subtitles are not.
See how others have listed similar vehicles:

OP2 years agoI cannot, I can put in a custom make like "GMC (Chevrolet)" and custom model "K5 Jimmy (Blazer)", but it does not actually change in the listing, even though it seems to accept it on the Revise listing page. I may have to cancel the listing and start over. Thanks for responding.

Mentor2 years agoDid you look at the item specifics of the three results of that search to see how those sellers accomplished what you are trying to do?
You can include additional model names under Sub Model. Those will be searchable by keyword.
