search for a specific item, getting thousands of unrelated crap to sift through
I searched for 426 hemi intake bolts. There are only a few sellers but the search returned 17000 items to look through that are totally unrelated! What happened here?

If you have cars saved in your garage, ebay will skew the searched towards them. Try searching for "Mopar hex flanged intake manifold bolt set", then on the results page use the filters in the left column. Some of those bolts will fit various engine sizes from 273 to 440 engines.
Myself I'd just to to a local parts store for those, and I'd buy the more expensive ones so I don't get low quality chinese made ones.

I run into the same issue and oddly, while looking for specific toy train items I often get a ton of eBay Motors parts shown on the returned Search list. It's like they just can't just return what is being asked for, they have to load up "X" number of pages in returned search.

Mentor1 year agoeBay is playing with their search engine again. They are beta testing using AI for searches and I don't think they have perfected it yet.
