SEARCH doesn’t show my item
Hi, I’m selling a Shirin Guild white linen blouse. When I search eBay to see if anyone can find it, nothing comes up. Even more weird, the Shirin Guild items that DO come to the top of the list aren’t white OR blouses/tops. I also tried googling to see if it would come up on the internet. Nada. The only way I could find it was by searching on PicClick. Has something happened to eBay’s search function or listing visibility??

When I search by ending soonest, your blouse is there
Try changing your title
Vintage Shirin Guild white linen asymmetric button wrap top blouse, roomy M
to
Shirin Guild white linen Blouse vintage asymmetric button wrap top, roomy M
Your first 3 to 5 words should say what it is. See if that helps.

Still odd that even though my search specified “white†and “blouseâ€, non-white and non-blouses were at the top of the Shirin Guild search list….and mine didn’t show up at all!
I’ve never heard of searching by “ending soonestâ€. Does that mean that auction items get priority listing over items that have been around for a while?

Ending soonest is my desktop default. Every 30 days your fixed price listing will be at the top of ending soonest as it renews.
Best match is the most common for buyers
The first 3-5 words are most important. Every word in the title is not equal in search.
Also, if you search "Shirin Guild white linen blouse" rather than Shirin Guild white linen blouse your item will be first

OP11 months agoVery weird. I just tried searching again with the new wording you suggested and it *still* doesn’t come up. When I search using quotes, the only thing that comes up is my listing. So it’s not like there are a lot of Shirin white linen blouses for sale at the moment. Which makes me think that either 1) the eBay search function isn’t working properly; or 2) eBay has become a largely “pay to play†site, and searchers only find sellers who’ve paid a marketing fee. Very discouraging.
