Just recently the search box has stopped working properly. As soon as you delete/insert a character the cursor jumps back to the end. This means you have to constantly re-type the search. Also, no space is left after using a predictive text entry, another pain.
This has occurred only in the last couple of weeks. I have reinstalled app, cleared cache etc. Has anyone else had a similar issue.

App issues can be reported to eBay by shaking your device while the app is active if that feature is enabled and the app is still running.
Others have noticed that and similar issues searching using the eBay app.

Until eBay releases a new app update, you may be able to work around the problem by using a mobile browser to search, or to edit your searches.
