Sealed court case????
Hello,
I am seeking some advice. I just started selling on Ebay again after 10 year break. I just received a message that one of my listing was pulled because a court case was file, but Ebay gives me no info saying the case is sealed. What do should I do. I started reselling again because I was downsized from job. I do not have funds to hire and attorney. Does anyone have experience with this? What did you do? Any advice would be much appreciated! Below is what I was sent. Thank you!
After reviewing your account, we've had to take the following action:
- Some or all of your listings may have been removed. A list of any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
- We have credited any associated fees except for any final value fee for your listing(s).A rights owner has filed a lawsuit in the United States claiming that your account was used to sell products that infringe its trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property. We removed your listings because a U.S. Court ordered eBay to do so. Violating the intellectual property rights of a rights owner is not allowed. Please do not relist the items we have removed, doing so may result in the permanent suspension of your account. At this time, we are unable to provide more information because the lawsuit is sealed. When the court informs us it has unsealed the lawsuit, we will send you an email notifying you and providing more information about the case.
We removed the following listings:

I would do exactly as eBay has advised and go on about your business until you hear further. (Just don't relist the glassware.)

Mentor3 years agoI can imagine how unsettling it would be to receive that notification. But until and unless there is more information forthcoming, just try to focus on other things. It looks like you have a great record, so I would focus on continuing doing what you do.
Be sure you only use information in your listings that you KNOW is correct (for example the manufacturer name) and use your own photos unless you are authorized by the manufacturer to use theirs. Hopefully this will come to nothing.
