Scheduled the pickup of a large item 16 hours away from here. Have no address or seller contact num

Seller is not responding to messages. Paid for and began to arrange for a 16 hour drive to pickup item. Need the address or contact number to coordinate

Thank you immensely for your response. I was beginning to panic a bit as the seller said pickup this Tuesday or Wednesday. I had no contact #'s for him. And I was planning to leave New Orleans for Columbus Ohio Monday morning. He wasn't responding to ebay messages and the ebay automated assistant provided no help to find his numbers or address. It wouldn't even get me to a human assistant.

Fortunately Tim, the seller texted my number I left in a message. We are all good to go, thank heavens!

I did however think your advice is excellent for anyone else with this concern.

I am going to assume that Local Pickup was a shipping option on the listing. Before buying the item did you check the seller's feedback profile to see if they were a new or an inexperienced seller? Many inexperienced seller's run into 2 problems.

1) they do not know there is a 21-30 day hold placed on their first few payments. On their account the payment status shows pending, so they do not respond to messages about shipping, or pickup, because they do not think the payment has cleared.

2) If they have not listed an item with local pickup before, when they try to post contact information to an ebay message, they get a warning that it cannot be done. They do not know that it can be done IF local pickup was an option, all they have to do is click on the send message button even with the warning. You can send them your contact info that way as well.

If you check the sellers profile and see that they are new/inexperienced try messaging them again. tell them if they have not responded because of the Pending status of your payment to do a Google search for " Payments on hold, ebay " that will let them know how to proceed. You may also want to tell them that despite the warning about posting contact info, they can go ahead and post it, because it is a local pickup transaction. Tell them to do a search for " Offering Local pickup, ebay ".
