Scams
I am a new seller and received an email to my personal email requesting that I copy a link and paste it into my browser so ebay could do a routine security check for my ebay account. The email I received had a picture of one of my items I have listed. The email came from
<admins_kznb3355qgf@members.ebay.com>
Once I copied and pasted the link, the chat popped up and stated they were a live person (not a bot) and immediately requested my debit card information. I told them I was not comfortable providing the card information and they stated if I exited without providing my debit card information then my account would be restricted. I said I wasn't comfortable and would contact ebay directly and they persisted in trying to get the debit card info. It was a few days ago and my account does not seem to be restricted.
Is this legit? Or is it a scam? The only reason I thought it might be legit is due to the email came from ebay.com.

Mentor9 months ago@zulu-35 SCAM!!! Forward the email to spoof@ebay.com An eBay agent will NEVER ask for your debit card in a chat.
Run a virus scan on your computer and change passwords and secret questions on ALL of your accounts, especially email, eBay, and any financial accounts.
If eBay sends you a message it will be in your eBay message folder besides your email account.
Do you need instructions on how to link and verify your checking account so that you can get paid for items you are selling?
